My Story

Website creation instructor, course author, and practical web mentor

My Story

Hi, I’m Paul Colson, the author of SiteBuildersCoach.

I teach people how to plan, build, launch, and improve websites without getting lost in technical noise or design guesswork.

My work is focused on practical website education. I help beginners, freelancers, small business owners, and future web creators understand how websites actually work: how pages are structured, how content supports trust, how visitors move through a site, and how the right tools can make the process easier.

SiteBuildersCoach was created for people who do not just want to “make a page.” They want to understand how to build a website that has a purpose.

How I Came to Website Education

My path into website creation started with a simple problem: many people wanted websites, but very few understood what made a website useful.

I saw beginners jump from one tutorial to another. I saw small business owners choose templates before knowing what pages they needed. I saw freelancers spend too much time on visuals while the actual message of the site remained unclear.

Over time, I became more interested in teaching the process behind a website than only showing the final result. A website is easier to create when you understand its structure. That idea became the foundation of SiteBuildersCoach.

What I Teach

My lessons are built around the full website creation process, from planning to launch.

I teach students how to define the goal of a website, plan pages, organize navigation, write homepage sections, build service pages, prepare contact forms, check mobile layouts, and review a site before publication.

The course does not assume that every student wants to become a developer. Some students want to build a website for their own business. Some want to help clients. Some want to understand website builders, content structure, and digital presentation before moving into more advanced skills.

That is why my teaching style is practical and step-by-step.

My Approach

Structure Before Style

A website should have a clear structure before colors, images, and visual effects are chosen. If the message is unclear, design cannot fully solve the problem.

Practice Before Theory

Students learn better when they apply ideas to real pages. That is why my lessons include examples, assignments, checklists, and page-building exercises.

Simple Language

Website education should not be hidden behind technical jargon. I explain concepts in plain language so students understand what they are doing and why it matters.

Business Use First

Most websites are created for a purpose: to explain a service, attract inquiries, present expertise, or support a business. My lessons focus on websites that serve real goals.

I believe website creation should be easier to understand. You do not need to start with code, advanced tools, or complicated terminology. You need a clear method.

That method begins with understanding the purpose of the website, planning the structure, creating useful content, choosing the right tool, and checking the result through the eyes of a real visitor.

This is what I teach at SiteBuildersCoach.
